Bond was born 60 years ago in New Jersey. He escaped to summer camp in Maine at 6 1/2 and never spent a full year at home again. He’s been a student, a production manager for Rolling Stone magazine, a zinc miner, a maker and seller of neckties, a clerk, an analyst, a risk taker and a stay-at-homer. He writes occasional poetry and enjoys the view from various windows. He’d like to retire — but from what?
